How It Operates

Optical Capture: When you press your finger against the blue-illuminated glass platen, internal LEDs light up the fingerprint ridges and valleys.

Image Conversion: A high-sensitivity optical sensor turns the light reflection into an 8-bit grayscale digital image.

On-Board Calibration: Built-in hardware automatically adjusts calibration and handles data transfer over a high-speed USB connection.

Spoof Rejection: The device features counterfeit finger rejection technology to detect and block fake or latent prints.

Template Extraction: Software uses tools like the DigitalPersona Software Development Kits (SDK) and FingerJet biometric engine to map distinct fingerprint features into a secure, hashed numerical template rather than saving an actual picture of your fingerprint.
